About Me
Mary T. Smith
I was born and raised in North Carolina and attended college in the Charlotte area where I now work and live with my husband and three children.
I began working in education in 2009 when I made the transition from the IT corporate world into the educational sector. I began my educational career as a high school social studies teacher, while gaining my Master of Arts in Teaching. After teaching a few years, I made the decision to go back to graduate school and obtained my Masters of Education in School Counseling.
I have worked in multiple roles throughout my career and I have learned a lot along the way within the various positions I have held. I have a passion for fostering academic success and personal develpment, am experienced in creating and implementing support programs, collaborating with stakeholders, and addressing student needs. I am committed to enhancing the overall student experience and promoting a positive learning environment.
